Northwest Housing Development welcomes inquiries from subcontractors and suppliers interested in providing skilled labor and/or materials for the construction of our participant's homes. We also welcome the generous support of individuals and organizations interested in donating time, services or materials. The following information is intended to help facilitate your inquiry in the most efficient manner possible.

Contractors and suppliers

Northwest Housing Development welcomes proposals and bids from companies that supply and/or install materials used in single-family home construction, including the following:

  • Excavation, trenching and grading
  • Garage doors

  • Interior doors and trim

  • Septic tank and drain field
  • Sheetrock
  • Sod and shrubs
  • Top Soil
  • Paint

Volunteers

Your time is welcome at construction sites and in our office. Construction experience is not necessary, though certainly welcome.

Donations

Northwest Housing Development welcomes the generous donation of funding to support its programs as well as certain in-kind services, and limited tools and building materials. All donations are tax deductible.

Money is used to purchase construction tools, help very low-income households qualify for a mortgage, purchase building supplies or major appliances for particularity needy families and occasionally to purchase office equipment. Donations via credit or debit card can be made via PayPal.

Many types of building materials are useful as well. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept small quantities of some materials due to our large quantity needs. Our storage capacity is limited so we usually accept material donations only at the time they are needed.

We also regret that we are unable to accept donations of furniture, lawn and garden or other items intended for use post occupancy.
