We will never tell you that home ownership is easy, but it is possible and we can show you how.

Who we are

Northwest Housing Development is a nonprofit organization that helps families and individuals with modest incomes and good credit to build their own homes.

What we do

Participants in our mutual self-help housing program provide up to 65 percent of the labor to construct their own brand new home in King, Pierce or Thurston County.

How it works

The sweat equity each household invests satisfies the down payment requirement and helps reduce their monthly mortgage payments.
